For the fifth time, the Franco Dragone Entertainment Group called upon the talent of Luc PETIT to design and direct the urban opera Décrocher la Lune.

On Saturday, September 29, 2012, superheroes took over the city center of La Louvière. Set against a backdrop of economic and political turmoil, the most famous heroes of everyday life joined forces with Sancho to overcome obstacles and reach for the moon.

They appeared on stage, on screen, and even among the crowd, with everyone invited to dress up as heroes for the occasion!

An extraordinary mix of elements came together for an exceptional spectacle, shared by over 30,000 spectators and broadcast live on all regional television channels. In 2012, Sancho had to face a horde of Star Wars villains, spreading terror throughout the city, led by the formidable Joker, who had come to steal the moon!

To thwart their sinister plans, Sancho relied on La Louvière’s everyday warriors, as well as some famous allies: Akhenaton, the renowned rapper, who performed a song specially written for the occasion, and the dance group 2Mad, discovered after participating in several television shows.

The astonishing recycled costumes by Daniele Bossi helped transform ordinary citizens into superheroes, while tightrope walkers and dancers performing on buildings captivated the audience with their breathtaking aerial choreography, set to the music of the Lunar Orchestra, conducted by Eloi Baudimont.

The coordination of professional and amateur artists by M. Zo once again turned this event into a true celebration of the people.

And for the grand finale, the world’s only female human cannonball was launched into the air to help Sancho reach for the moon, in a sky magically illuminated by fireworks designed by the renowned Italian company Parente.

Another resounding success for the fifth edition of Décrocher la Lune, conceived, directed, and produced by Luc PETIT’steam, under the artistic direction of Franco Dragone.
