In the presence of Prince Charles and of the descendants of Napoleon, Wellington and Blücher, Hougoumont Farm, a strategic location that played a decisive role in determining the outcome of the battle of Waterloo, was unveiled during the celebrations for the 200th anniversary.
Tempora, a company specialising in the design and realisation of exhibitions, commissioned Luc PETIT to devise a modern, innovative set design.
Thanks to images projected onto three large mobile bas-reliefs, visitors discovered and experienced the emotion of the events that took place in this symbolic place and learned how the farm fought off the onslaught from the French.
It combines a cinematographic approach with 3D technology and high-tech video mapping to produce a unique visitor experience.
