Franco Dragone, Luc PETIT, the Centre Culturel Régional du Centre, and the City of La Louvière joined forces to offer the people of La Louvière a stunning urban spectacle—an outpouring of generosity that brought together professional and amateur artists, music and fireworks, parades, and costumes.

For the occasion, the show’s creators introduced the symbolic character of Sancho, a giant puppet representing the collective imagination and social commitment of a diverse community.

The idea was to create a dreamlike performance that would offer people a new perspective on their everyday world—inviting them to take an active role in this unique ritual, a quest for utopia fueled by energy and hope, paving the way for a brighter future.

In both 2002 and 2006, La Louvière once again welcomed its hero, Sancho, who, yet again, reached for the moon atop the church. The third edition featured an extraordinary performance by singer and musician Catherine Lara, along with several internationally renowned street theater companies—not to mention the many young volunteers from the region who played a key role in bringing the event to life.
